TrixConnect is installed and running. Look for its icon in the menu bar at the top right of your screen — that icon is how you open settings, see your connection ID, and quit.

Two permissions are still needed before anyone can assist you.
TrixConnect will ask for them shortly. If you have already dismissed the prompts, follow the steps below.

To grant them

  1. Open System SettingsPrivacy & Security
  2. Select Screen Recording, and switch TrixConnect on
  3. Go back, select Accessibility, and switch TrixConnect on
  4. If macOS offers Quit & Reopen, choose it

Until both are on: Screen Recording off means the technician sees a black screen, and Accessibility off means they cannot move the mouse or type.

What happens during a session
You are asked to approve every connection, and asked again before anyone is given control. The menu-bar icon turns red for as long as your screen is being shared, so you always know when someone is watching. You can end a session at any time by quitting TrixConnect from that icon.
